The 2014 Ecsite Directors Forum was themed: "Downloading the future". AHHAA Science Centre hosted a top-quality event that held its promise to explore "everything you want to know - and should know - about the future!", technology and leadership, creativity and innovation, uploading and downloading.

Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves presented his country's commitment to e-governance. The other three keynote speakers were Peret Mürk-Dubout - TeliaSonera, Jaan Tallinn - Skype founder, Teo Haren - Co-author of the Idea Book.
