The 2010 Ecsite Directors Forum had a total of 50 participants and was themed: "Change". This relates to questions such as: how do science centres and museums adapt to the challenges that an ever changing society and economy bring? Among the Natural History Museum's awe-inspiring 70 million specimens, participants looked at the types of change that affect us and the changes we make as an institution. Remarkable keynote speeches were delivered by Ben Goldrace - award winning writer, broadcaster and medical doctor, Angelika Hilbeck - senior scientist at the Institute of Integratiev Biology at ETH Zurich, Duncan Mayo - Human Resources Manager at John Wiley & Sons, John Holden - previous Head of culture at Demos and Visiting Professor at City University. |
